Tucked on the western end of the Lesser Sunda Islands is Bali, a province and island of Indonesia.
In terms of tourism and popularity, Bali got its recognition in the late 1980s when the tourism flourished here and tourists from all over the world began to explore the untouched locations of the island.
While Bali is known for dance, sculpture and music it is also the home of the Indonesian International Film Festival. However, the tourism industry in Bali covers almost 80% of its economy and therefore there are more tourism-related industries that do well in Bali.
Considering a number of tourists that visit Bali every year there are plenty of accommodation options that you can find here.
If you are visiting Bali for some adventure you need to ensure that you have the right accommodation option before you fly to Bali. Booking vacation rental and a villa in Bali is a good option if you are heading to Bali with your friends and family.
This would offer you a better stay experience in Bali than finding hotels. Villas offer you a great experience so that you can have some memorable time and experience with your loved ones when you are in Bali.

Adventure Activities in Bali
If you are looking for some adventure during your 2 weeks in Bali trip here are top 5 adventure activities in Bali that you can try out:
Reef Surfing
One of the key reasons behind the boost in Bali tourism is water sports and other activities related to it.
Reef surfing certainly is the best adventure activity you can do when you are in Bali with your friends and family. Bali has many locations where you can enjoy reef surfing even if you haven’t tried it before.
There are various schools that you can find in Bali that can help you with learning reef surfing, one of the best things to do in Bali.
However, if you already know surfing you can head to Canggu or Sanur Beach where you can enjoy medium and high tide waves. This would allow you to have some great time reef surfing and challenging yourself to some great waves.
Bali White Water Rafting
Ayung is Bali’s longest river and if you are ready for some challenge and adventure you can head for some white water rafting.
This water sport allows you to take on your fears and allows you to have the best adventure experience with your friends and family members.
The rafting session would include a short training session where you would get instructions from a professional guide. Once you are done with the training you will step on your raft and handle the harsh vortexes of river water and experience challenging Class 2 and 3 rapids.
White water rafting provides you with a combination of taking on the challenges of the swirling water and enjoying the panoramic view of the nature around the river.
Generally, the white water rafting session would last for a couple of hours followed by lunch or dinner while experiencing the natural environment around the river.
Cycling in Bali
The island of Bali has a picturesque countryside and what better way to explore it than cycling.
If you love adventure you can pedal your way through some rough terrain and countryside roads in Bali.
Cycling in Bali is better than any other mode of transport because you get to take your own route and you can experience the rural side of the island up close and personal.
You can cycle across Bali and witness some ancient temples and small religious places, meet local farmers and their families, see school kids pass by, and even explore the plantations across the island.
If you love to burn some calories without entering the gym this is the best way to do it. There are many cycling schools that also provide you with various cycling routes where you can explore Bali in its true form.
Kite Surfing
If you are ready for some extreme adventure and have the experience you can also go for some kite surfing activities in Bali.
Kite surfing is one of the popular adventure activities in Bali and Sanur Beach is certainly the best location where you can find it.
If you are new to this kind of activity you must look for a private instructor who will guide you with how to control your kite and master the art of cruising over the waves while harnessing the power of the wind.
You can also get the gear on rent and find an expert guide and follow the instructions to enjoy the adventure.
ATV and Buggy Rides
If you are willing to get your hands dirty and splash some mud then Bali is the best place where you can test your driving skills to the extreme.
The ATV and buggy rides in the Ubud area of Bali is certainly quite popular and offers you to be in the midst of the jungles higher up north.
The area has a cool climate and the lush greenery and rural setting offer a perfect backdrop for those who want to step into their ATV and enjoy some laps at a designated racecourse.
You will also be guided by a professional who will show you how to operate the vehicles and take a spin around the area.
This is also a perfect adventure sport for those who are speed freaks and want to take control of the vehicle on a rough muddy terrain which is unlike what you find in the urban setting. ATV rides are popular in Payangan and provide a perfect setting to challenge your rivals on this adventure tour.

We started our journey in Sanur 6 years ago Sara. I recall getting over jet lag as I sat on the beach, watching kite surfers new and experienced cruise around the bay as the winds picked up, some vets doing sick flip-type movements. Real show boats. The only action adventure I do on the Island of the Gods is walk on the street sometimes in areas around Ubud, dodging cars and motorbikes LOL.
Bali is the famous place in the world. I am a traveler and reader, I see this name much time and read many think about it. Your 5 activities are very wonderful Idea. I traveling many countries and many places but I don,t have together all those. There is my favorite thing is Water Rafting. I love water rafting. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
I recall a few awesome cycling days we did while in Bali. Seeing beautiful rice terraces up close and personal was one of the highlights of our trip there and I can’t wait to relive that someday with our daughter.
