The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.soundtransit.org\/ride-with-us\/routes-schedules\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">light rail<\/a><\/strong> in Seattle goes directly from the airport into the most desirable neighborhoods in Seattle.<\/p><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Seattle Washington USA\" src=\"https:\/\/mindfultravelbysara.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Seattle-Washington-USA.jpg\" class=\"wp-image-32433\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mindfultravelbysara.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Seattle-Washington-USA.jpg 750w, https:\/\/mindfultravelbysara.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Seattle-Washington-USA-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\"><\/figure><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><p>The only exception is the Ballard neighborhood, though Seattle is working on extending the light rail to Ballard it is not quite there yet.<\/p><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><p>If you do decide to stay in Ballard and want to utilize the light rail, you will need to connect from downtown Seattle via the <a href=\"https:\/\/kingcounty.gov\/en\/dept\/metro\/routes-and-service\/schedules-and-maps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>D-line bus<\/strong><\/a> that will take you to Ballard.<\/p><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Taxis, Ubers, and Lifts in Seattle<\/strong><\/h3><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><p>Bad news for those of you who don&rsquo;t want to take public transit. <strong>Uber and other taxi-related services are not very affordable<\/strong> in my opinion. I have paid as much as $75 from the core of Seattle to the airport.<\/p><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><p>I highly recommend taking <a href=\"https:\/\/kingcounty.gov\/en\/dept\/metro\/routes-and-service\/schedules-and-maps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>public transportation<\/strong><\/a> if possible!<\/p><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Buses &amp; Seattle Lightrail<\/strong><\/h3><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><p><strong>The buses in Seattle<\/strong>, as well as the Lightrail, aren&rsquo;t free, but <strong>they are affordable<\/strong>! I recommend you <strong>purchase an ORCA card upon arrival<\/strong> if you plan to travel around the city.<\/p><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><?xml encoding=\"UTF-8\"><p>More often than not it will be a bus that will get you from point A to point B.
