RV Destinations in the United States

Have you ever rented an RV? There are amazing RV destinations in the United States and recreational vehicles are the perfect choice for travelers looking for freedom and adventure.

Besides, you can explore the country while still having all the comforts of home. What else can we ask for?

I started traveling with my parents in a travel trailer when I was 6 years old. We RVing for 7 years and it was amazing.

I love the freedom of road tripping and camping, it’s the perfect to explore every corner of the world without being tied to schedules or groups. It’s also a great way to travel with a dog.

RV Destinations

Traveling across the US in an RV is fun and easy, but it’s really important to choose the best RV rental platform so you don’t have any problems during your trip.

I recommend using platforms like RVshare with tens of thousands of RV owners on their site. Besides, they offer insurance for each rental so they have you covered.

Once you have chosen the RV that suits your needs, it’s time to choose the best RV destination in the United States to enjoy it.

With around 14,600 RV parks or campgrounds across the US, RVers can drive coast-to-coast with lots of options to choose from.

Here you have my top 5 recommendations:

Best RV Destinations in the United States

Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park is the oldest, one of the largest, and probably one of the best National Parks in the US.

It’s located in northwestern Wyoming, partly in southern Montana and west of Idaho. Yellowstone is without a doubt a huge park, which includes the highest concentration of hydrothermal features in the world.

Grand Canyon National Park

Although the Grand Canyon is 446 kilometers long, and its depth reaches up to 1,600 meters, it’s impossible to convey the real dimensions of this impressive natural enclave of Arizona.

You will only be aware of it when you reach the first lookout point. Impressive!

Yosemite National Park

In this park you will find lush forests, having the opportunity to see the giant redwoods, which can be seen in any of these areas of California.

Also, in Yosemite you can also see large rocky granite mountains, the most famous is The Captain.

Rocky Mountains

The more than 4,000 kilometers of this mountain range that starts in Mexico and extends to Alaska, is the geographic spine of North America.

Located in the state of Colorado, it reaches its maximum plenitude by the number of peaks and its height, creating a unique landscape of forest and high mountain tundra among rocky masses of granite.

Besides, you’ll find here some of the best fall hikes in Colorado!

Grand Teton

The Grand Teton National Park is one of the most emblematic places of the Rocky Mountains, a chain of mountains and glaciers in which the maximum altitude of its peaks is 4200 meters.

An endless valley that extends under this natural wall where we can find a multitude of wild animals.

Glacier National Park

If you visit Glacier National Park, you have to drive along its most famous route, Going-to-the-Sun Road, which runs a journey of 80 kilometers in which you go through stunning landscapes.

Take your time and stop to take pictures and admire the beautiful landscapes.

Arches National Park

Did you know that Arches National Park contains the world’s largest concentration of natural stone arches?

Surrounded by one of the most spectacular landscapes of the West, Moab is a must. Arches is one of the best national parks in the United States and has inspired many filmmakers to make western movies.

Visiting these US destinations in an RV is a great way to spend time with family and enjoy nature.

  1. All of these places look so amazing, and I’m dying to learn how to do “RV Life”. I’m going to Burning Man this year, and need to learn how to rent an affordable RV.
